Chisinau is located at a distance of 448 km from Bucharest and 471 km from Kiev – the capitals of the neighbouring states. The city is situated on seven hills in the shape of a circle. On the highest hill the Ciocana sector is situated. The central part of the city is the lowest point. The area of Chisinau is approximately 120 square kilometres. On the Stefan cel Mare Boulevard in the centre of the capital stands the Triumphal Arch, which is among the top most beautiful Triumphal Arches of Europe.
